This short passage was also written last year when I was a little kiddy with my ex-gf. Only after reading this passage today have I comprehensed how love can change one’s mind so dramartically.
It’s funny for a freshman in college to think about engagement or even marriage. But a person in love proves an eccentric.
With my knowledge, a small ring with 10 carats diamond will capture the heart of your girlfriend with ease so she will be willing to be updated to fiancée or wife. Sometimes you just want to thank the God for he roots vanity in women.
The sad truth is that I am but a rich man, so it won’t be practical.
What about this?
Armed with incensed flowers and with one kneel down, I propose to my girl in the center of a plaza, where stands statures of Cupid and small fountains and pigeons spread their snow white wings; or in a restaurant with some sonata of Mozart. Oh, it’s too romantic for a straight-forward man to carry out. I wonder whether I will shudder at the moment I say” Will you marry me?”

Yes, telephone! Maybe I should choose telephone. She can’t see my face and can’t find out how nervous I am. But I can’t see her face either, so I can’t know whether she is pleased or not. What’s more, telephone is not formal.
Pondering for a while, I dismiss any elaborate versions and prefer a simple one: Rush to her home in the morning and knock at the door with armful roses. As soon as she opens it, I will say to her:
Good Morning! I want to marry you right now. Do you want to be my wife for the rest of our life?”
And then? Maybe prepare breakfast for her……
